The Dorchester Court Community Portal is a private, secure website for residents of Dorchester Court. It lets you communicate with your neighbours and the directors, report maintenance issues, view building documents, check upcoming events, and manage your parking details — all from your phone or computer.
The portal is free to use and only open to registered residents. Your data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.
Each flat registers once. If your flat is already registered, simply sign in — there is no need to register again.
After signing in you land on your dashboard. Tiles give you quick access to every section of the portal. If you have unread messages or updates on your issues, a highlighted banner appears at the top.
| Tile | What it does |
|---|---|
| 💬 Read and send messages | Send and receive messages to and from neighbours and the directors. |
| ⚠️ Raise an issue | Report a maintenance problem or track the status of an existing report. |
| 👤 Change my profile | Update your contact details or change your password. |
| 🅿️ Update my vehicle | View and update your vehicle registration details. |
| 📅 Calendar of events | View upcoming building events and meetings. |
| 👥 View Directors | See who the directors are. |
| 📄 Documents | Access shared building documents — minutes, policies, and more. |
| 📖 User Guide | This guide — open it any time from your dashboard. |
Tap Messages on your dashboard. Your inbox shows all messages sent to you. Unread messages are highlighted with a gold border and a "New" badge. Tap any message to read it.
When reading a message, tap Reply. The To field is automatically filled in. Add your message and tap Send.
Tap the Sent tab in the Messages screen to see messages you have sent, along with who has read them.
Use this to report any maintenance problem — leaking pipes, broken lights, communal area damage, and so on.
When the directors post a response, a green banner appears on your dashboard. Tap it to read the update.
The Calendar shows upcoming building events — AGMs, social events, planned maintenance, and more. Tap Calendar to view the list. Each event shows the date, time, location, and description.
The Documents section stores shared building files such as meeting minutes, the lease summary, building insurance details, and health and safety documents. Tap any document to open or download it.
The portal stores your vehicle registration so the directors can manage parking across the building.
To update your name, email, phone number, or owner/resident status, tap My Profile. Make any changes and tap Save Profile.
To change your password, scroll to the Change Password section, enter your new password, confirm it, and tap Save Profile.
The bell icon in the top-right corner shows a badge when you have unread notifications. Tap it to see announcements and alerts from the directors.
Tap Sign Out in the top-right corner of any screen. Always sign out if you are using a shared or public device.
Dorchester Court is committed to protecting your personal data in line with UK GDPR. The "Privacy & GDPR" button in the bottom-right corner of the portal shows the full privacy statement at any time.
In brief, we collect your name, flat number, email, phone, and vehicle registration. This is used only for managing communal affairs at Dorchester Court. Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase and is never sold or shared outside building management.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Contact the directors at dorchestercourtcommunity@gmail.com.
